What to expect this season from the Stevenson Patriots as told by head coach Tom Wood:

Last year's record: 21-23-2

Last year's Awards/Championships:  Stevenson Thanksgiving Tournament Champions

Players to look out for: Jackson Leptich, Michael Dowd

How many seniors did you lose? Which underclassmen will be stepping up for you this year?

We graduated five seniors.  Frank Wiest-Puchala, Zach Wesley, Sam Shellist, Max Slavin, and Roey Kleiman will step in to fill the roles

What challenges do you expect to face this year?

We graduated four senior defensemen.  Replacing them will be difficult.

What are you excited about this year?

We return most of our forwards as we only had one graduate.  We were able to get a couple of club players to replace our defense that graduated.  We also pulled up some talented JV players that will contribute to our offense.  We had a new goaltender enter the program, which should improve competition at that position.  I am excited to take over the head coaching position at Stevenson.  We have implemented a lot of changes to the program in terms of conditioning, scheduling, and coaching staff.

What expectations do you have this season?

I expect our offense to be improved from the last couple of seasons.  I expect our goaltending will be much better than what we have had the last couple of seasons.  The key to our season will be how the defensemen we have added can fill in for the guys that graduated.  Forwards and goaltenders will need to progress to the next level if we are to achieve our team goals at the Varsity and Junior Varsity level.
